15 at a Banquet at Aaj India...YUMMO

This is the last lot of pics of Aaj India that i will post...you are going to have to go and experience it for yourself.....
Wednesday night last week a bunch of YSA, my brother and his wife and Kelv and me went there to a special "priced just for us" banquet...
it was YUMMO....
(and of course the decor was so NICE.. OH have you seen me on the ad on TV for the Restaurant?????)

here is Kelv reading the paper (supplied free to read everyday) in the comfy lounge area by the coffee bar...(they serve a great hot chocolate and a slice of cheese cake too....lunches and dinner as well as take aways) he is waiting for everyone to turn up...

these guys were first and to think they had the furtherest to come...

this was the first course...Samosas served with side salads....that plate was full and by the time i got my camera focused i just managed to take a shot of the last one leaving the plate...Curried Vegetarian Samosas... served with a spicy dipping sauce....

Mains was a mixture of three dishes...Butter Chicken, RoganJosh and a specially made dish of potato and cheese dumpling in a scrumptious yogurt sauce..(we were trialling that dish to go on the menu...it was delicious)...all these were served with copious amount's of rice and of course three sorts of Naan Bread.... (see the under glass decoration...well done Sacha form DOC Signs)

I just wasn't quick enough to show you the dishes as they came out ...
Why ????
Well there was this "plague of locusts" seated all around the table that swooped on them and devoured them all up.... and then sat there "stuffed"....
(i might tell you that my brother had never ever had Indian food ...this was his first experience with real curry...he definitely is going back...)
AS ARE WE ALL...

  4. I have to say I went there on their 2nd night open and we had a great time and a wonderful meal. So they didn't know what wines they had available.... they did have a white and a red so we had one of those..... and the Lassi's were the best ever! My Mum and Dad were with us from Qld and they really enjoyed their dinner. For once when Mum asked for REALLY REALLY mild she actually got it!! The decor was fantastic - nice and spacious which is definitely a nice change and the chairs were comfortable. Well done to the interior designers!! and Well Done to Hari and his fantastic staff. We will return.....
