Sail Away, Sail Away, Sail Away.....that is the first line of a song on the Enya Album that i have been listening too in my car as i drove to Hobart this week and Rowan loves it so i had to press replay all the way to Clifton Beach (about 30 minutes from Chelsea's) as well...so today when we drove around Sandy Bay having a look and killing time till the shops opened as we left the house just on 8am so that Chels could have the day to edit the last lot of Wedding photos.... we found this amazing place with this beautiful sight and into the bargain was a fantastic play ground that we stayed at for over and hour playing until it started to rain (i think it was really sleet... it was so cold)..
Yes i believe that Hobart has some amazing scenery...where else could you find green, green grass all the way down to the blue, blue sea with beautiful white yachts bobbing up and down.....????
{note the change in the sky from the second shot...how quickly the storm clouds came down from Mt Wellington}

and the cutest little poppet to chase the one legged seagulls...(there were a couple of those)

Then we attended Hattie's school assembly..(can you see her there waving to us) Her class presented the drawings and paintings they did this week with their "buddies"... check above in the same position...Her drawing is the two people ...one in a yellow shirt and one in a green one.

A trip to Town is not a good trip unless you go to the Cat and Fiddle Arcade to watch the clock.... and to ride on the money gobbling rides positioned right there in your face.... but Noddy and his car was her favorite as you can see....

But this little man was the other high light for Nanna.... he is giggling now and sucking his fist ...

His feet are HUGE and he loves to kick with them....that is my knee right there he is kicking.

His hands grasp everything he gets them near... which of course he guides to his mouth to suck and chew.

there is definitely and love affair going on with these two... He ADORES HER and she HIM..

he is such a happy little man..AND.... Yes i know i am the doting Nanna!!!!!

another cute one....

Another cute pic of the two cousins playing together under Arliss's floor play gym...

More Cuddles for Him......

but all to soon it was time to go home.... see the sad face.... just as well you can't see mine!!!!!
That first photo is STUNNING! I love that Enya song, and the whole album; it sounds so pretty.
ReplyDeleteGood to see Arliss and Rowan having a good time together! xx
It's so nice for Rowan to have a baby- her being the youngest. Something Ella never had. When Darby and baby Bethan came and stayed with us, Darby and Ella spent the whole time trying to get away from B. Then when they left, Ella would scowl at the TV when the nappy ads came on and say "I don't like babies, babies bother me!". She's better now, but she still doesn't really know how to act around them.
ReplyDeleteI used to put my first two in those machines and never put money in them (we couldn't afford it). They thought it was fun just sitting there. Then my mum ruined it for me...but then it just became a special treat when Nanny came to stay! Love that Tassie sky.
Rowan looks like such a sweetie. I hope I get to meet her before she's a teenager!!!!!
Oh so good to hear from you - I haven't been getting updates of your blog posts, thought you were on a long vacation!
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of the little one sitting next to Noddy in the car - tooooo precious!
Rowan is such a cool name, and what a cutie pie too.
Hope you have a great weekend!
That is strange - I wasn't getting updates, because I was no longer following... I have no clue how that happened since I haven't changed any settings... except there were problems when I changed my page over to the new version... maybe that was the culprit, since this has happened alot of times.
ReplyDeletei love that Enya song too!
ReplyDeletewe also love that park in Sandy Bay, it's great right on the water- the kids love hunting for crabs under the rocks!
