Feed the Birds......

Queensland is the place for experiences of the wild sort....  and these are REALLY wild parrots... they fly in every night ...directly into my brothers back yard and he feeds them bird seed and seeded breads...

so "Himself" had a wonderful time encouraging them to feed directly from his hand

And what do you think this little bloke was telling him?????

 this brightly coloured native birds flew in to try out what was on offer as well and they are usually more shy than the little bright green parrots...

These little blokes are called Scalies ..see how you can see the golden yellow under there green feathers???? it sort of looks like scales don't you think???

they fly right in to the covered Alfresco area and perch on the chairs and the table...

How amazing is this scene..... and to think they are wild parrots!!!!

Here they are all lined up on my brothers fence waiting (and calling out) for their nightly treats...

How i love seeing the wild life of Queensland at such close quarters....
