Can you believe how fast lawn grows here in Tasmania............!!!!!!!
this is our lawn as of 5pm tonight......
believe it ...have another look!!!!!
From this above...go back and have another look....
This all happened in our garden as of 1.30pm today
yes that is "Himself" with those "getting back to nature" hands.....and this was how we got that amazingly green and lush lawn so fast...Instant Strathayr Instant Lawn....it comes in rolls that are just a bit heavy for me (but manageable really as i am a wimp these days)...and you just roll it out in a brick pattern ...just cutting it with a sharp knife as it has a biodegradable webbing that breaks down over a period as the grass takes root in you garden.....
And this was the team that helped to lay the Instant Lawn.....You guys are amazing...Thank You so much....all in the space of two hours!!!!!
NOW..... For some glimpses of the New House....
This is my Fabulous new wall oven...I actually have two ovens well one and half anyway.....which i love cooking in....
that was an amazing fresh salmon that i roasted with lemon slices and sprigs of thyme and we ate most of that for that meal.... then i made a scrumptious quiche with some left over salmon, spinach and ricotta ....yum!!!!..... we polished that all off over the weekend...(Didn't we Sarah?????)
OK ARE YOU READY???????
This is our bedroom....i know ...not a very good pic ...but i am having trouble downloading onto my blog and the camera is playing up...the flash wont pop up again....(help Lisa K...i need you !!!)
but i think you can get the gist of it from the very poor wuality pics...sorry...that is my niche that wasnt there and then it was..... i have wall papered behind in the niche behind the bed..no bed head on the bed so i have the option of changing the wall paper or painting it when i feel like a change of colour...later on down the track that is ......as i am loving this fabric paper with a bit of bling.
This is my en suite.... my glass shower is huge..i call it the Tardis...from Dr Who...but there is heaps of room and it is tiled to the ceiling so easy to wipe clean...
That's all for now ...it has taken me 2 hours to down load these for you....might have something to do with the fact that Telstra is not putting on the land line to this street until the 29th July this year and they have given us a wireless modem telephone line connection ...we have this tiny little aerial stuck to the inside of the window...i am thinking that is why it is a bit slow.... but if you really want to see the house at its best ...come and visit.
Let me be the first to say WOW!!! It's beautiful! Thanks for letting us see your new abode and fabulous lawn. Just in time for winter. :)
ReplyDeleteWHAT!!! You've already done it!! Aaron thought you were doing it this morning at 9am!? It looks soooo nice - I'm very, very jealous!
ReplyDeleteWasn't the salmon beautiful!!! What a pain about the internet.
It all looks absolutely amazing. I'm looking forward to the next installment.
ReplyDeleteInstant lawn is so worth it! Yours looks great!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the tasty treats you're making in your new oven. We have a new oven too, and it is the best! I love the sound of your big shower cubicle. All looking good, and can't wait for more photos. Shame about the internet and camera problems. Hope they are resolved soon!
Love ya, xx
Hey Annette - just got your comment on my blog. Aaron will be there for sure with his muscles when you need him to help with the mulch. Let us know :)
ReplyDeleteWow! I can't believe how much progress has been made already! I'm sure all the stress and delays are all worth it now you're in!
