THIS is the last thing major thing to be done to our new house.....we decided that this little town of Perth is a bit windy on the western side so we would glass in the Alfresco.....so
this week saw that happen...and all in one day...
Yeah!!! that is the sort of building i like....(not that i like things done in a hurry mind!!!and don't ask "himself" that either....
So the three above are the before's

It sure makes a difference to or dining on the Alfresco i can tell you...
Q...1...wont it be too hot in the summer??????
A...1...NO... we have thought of that and have sliding doors on both northern and southern ends of the alfresco for cross ventilation...
and it will be great in the winter too ..especially on a sunny winters day..
Q...2...will i hate cleaning the big windows????
A..2...YES...anyone want to volunteer to help...i might be able to afford a few bob ( old Australian Currency prior to 1966..a bob was slang for one shilling which is now 10 cents) pocket money for a good window cleaner!!!
OH but the view and the sun will be all worth it...

ReplyDeleteLooks wonderful Nettie! And a big difference indeed. I have one of this spaces... not a porch-like like yours, but in a sweet orner in the garden and we don't use it much because being wide open makes it harder to battle the weather conditions.
