Just letting you know i am still around ...
these are some random photos that i took a couple of weeks ago..
the convict bridge at Campbell Town ...you cross this bridge without even a second glance....but from down on the river it is beautiful..check it out sometime....
This is the church on your left as you come into Campbell Town...
the little arched windows
once again built by the convicts transported here from England, Ireland and Scotland around the early 1800's....
how many lots of boots did it take to wear that door stone down like that...i don't think many shoes cross that door step now by the look of the moss growing there????
the churches spire reaching high.....(was there a clock face in that circle???)
reflecting on our tortured convict past and the yet the beauty we still have.... immortalized in stone....that was created because of it.....
Loving the old architecture, especially the window - gorgeous! Shame about the clock faces being taken away - weird... xx
ReplyDeleteWonderful legacy. And your pictures are nice as it seems not defeated and abandoned but sleeping, laying still and waiting.
ReplyDeleteWonderful post on this time of the year.

Hi My Fathers two youngest sisters drowned crossing this river, and my Grandma almost lost her life, when their horse and cart bolted into the river. After race day at Ross Jan 1 moons ago. Lucky Grandma survived. So I could be here. I think of this everytime we go past Ross or I see the picture of Ross bridge. Thanks for reminding me to be greatful for different blessings. Jenni
