That's not a MARSHMALLOW...this is a MARSHMALLOW!!!!!!

It is Chelsea's birthday so ...her father decides what we will buy her for her birthday present...
it is a patio fire...

this weekend the family all came north through snow on the Midlands Highway to reach us....
"Himself"..Poppy... couldn't wait to set it up for the big try-out....
The birthday Girl got to do the honours...light her own fire ... just as much fire as would be on her cake anyway!!!
everyone rugged up because it was freezing..
Poppy had put the patio fire together off the dining room with lots of little helpers all anxious to help keep the fire going ...
 everything going nicely...
and it was time to bring out the marshmallows...

NOW THAT IS WHAT YOU CALL A MARSHMALLOW..
WE BOUGHT THOSE IN NEW ZEALAND...

...... of course you can't stop at ONE...
All those forks in the fire ..the smell was delicious...
Poppy had made toasting forks from wire and everyone was excited to add their forked Marshmallow to the fire
No ...Poppy didn't make himself one...so he brought out the big guns...the rotisserie from the BBQ...

ewwwww..... they were so goooey and yum....

check out the size of those suckers....!!!!!
mmmm... i think we might leave this up over the school holidays (sorry mummy..you might have to wait to take it home)...a couple more toasted Marshmallow nights to come i feel them coming on....
a very good birthday pressie Poppy...
perhaps we might like one for ourselves ...what do you think Poppy????

  2. I love charred marshmallows and the gooey middle! So many of my family members barely brown theirs. What's up with that?

  4. Oh, I've seen these BIG marshmallows and always wanted to try them! What a great gift this is. It looks like you are all having a great time. Hmmmmm, a patio fire, that's something that I would love in my back yard. Will have to tell the husband about this.
