Tasmania Zoo ...The Dinosaur Experience..Part ONE

Today was the day he had been waiting for.."the real Dinosaur's ..not the skeleton ones ..that's what they are Nanna !!!!"

so we set off in the nice sunshine only to climb up Riverside into the fog...so that was a big scary to begin with.....

 of course we had to pose at the gate so that Poppy could get the pics of us at the entrance ....aawwww!!!!!....

 we walked around some of the animal enclosures first because it wasn't time to start the Dinosaur trek and we had to have one of the teats of course.......

 so the bird like BLUE from "Rio" was the first stop ..we did get close (well Poppy did anyway) he was very friendly and very huge when he flew at the wire to get the treat from Poppy....

 this funny faced monkey also like the treat ...don't think we are supposed to lean that close to the cages ..but this monkey loved the treat so much ..he was making funny sounds ..sort of telling us that he liked it and kept putting his paw out for more....

 The Meerkats were so funny...they take it in turns to keep watch for their pack and there was a big bird flying around(think it was only a parrot) and the meerkats were all anxious and hiding close to the edge of their enclosure and making funny noises warning each other that the bird was there....

 Then it was time to go down to the DURASSIC PARK entrance....there was this amazing collection of Dinosaur bones to walk on and look at while we waited for the guide ....apparently you used to be able to go through the park by yourself ..but some horrid people vandalized the dinosaur exhibits so now it is on the track only and no climbing on the exhibits..sadly those nasty people ruined it for everyone 

When the guide lady opened the gate we could hear the sounds of the Dinosaurs...IT WAS PRETTY SCARY ..... So here is this is ME at the first exhibit....and Nanna has to stop here (did you get too scared Nanna ????) 
NO this is just Part one Arliss.....everyone will have to wait until tomorrow to see the second part...because it is time for your bed.......
