A Peach (or is it) Cherry of a Day

We started the day with an awesome Baptism at 9 am...Shaune Raymond Davy ..Congratualtions Shaune.


And with Shaune is Hattie's "Samhoney"...they are such great friends

OOOOOWWWW A beach full of hot sand, shells, sea weed and crystal clear salt water...what more could a girl want on a 33degree summers day ... Yep we headed north to Low Head after a visit with Nan at the nursing home.

OH and Beattie the Labrador shaking her wet fur all over you ...MMMM the smell of wet dog

Such a happy dog ...she loves the water and just stand in it smiling

this is the view i had sitting on the sand...i could have stayed forever..sail boats and fishing boats out on the Tamar River

The beach we go to so that Beattie can swim and run without worrying anyone complaining is right by the Low Head Pilot Station which was built in ...yep 1835...now a tourist attraction.

Fabulous old buildings still being used as a Maritime Museum and the grounds are scattered with seamens cottages that have been restored are now being used for self contained B&B cottages....by the way those walls are at least 18 inches thick.

yep and you dont have to pay to vist it...better still.

Now on the way home we stopped at Mt Direction for a little snack.... Yum

We were told these were the seconds and at $8 per kilo...who cares ...we almost ate the kilo on the way back..lucky we bought two kilos..he hehhheeee

No we didnt have to pick our own but i couldnt resist the pic of the cherries just hanging in bunches right by were we parked ...so all in all it has been a great relaxing day.
