SEE...look how much fun they were having and they dressed up to suit....flannel shirts and jeans...really bush gear.

the kids had a Pinata ...... (sorry no funniest home video events) ...just lots of fun and lollies...thanks heaps Kylie and Primary...
the winner of the Priesthood Pie Competition...All the PH had to bake a sweet pie as their entry to the dance...the pies would then be served with icecream as the supper...... they all did well and according to the four unbiased taste testers the pie winners were all hard to seperate...so they had seperate catergories instead, best presentation, taste, shape, decoration, etc etc...but the winner was a Lemon Merangue Pie....Well done Aaron...all by himself at 12......you rock and your still my "boyfriend"....

my man's entries..These are the pies my man made.... Apple and Blueberry and Apple and Blackberry...he got the prize for presentation...see why?????

some more of the pies that entered ...most of them won a prize and certificate in the catergories created by the taste testers ...wish i had been there to try some..booo hoooo...

This was the band for the dance...the Bottom Pub (Kaylee) Band(that is how it sounds...and fenetically spelt) it is Celtic and plays that sort of lively dance music....
They are awesome and get everyone up on the floor and joining in the dancing ...
....we have had them a few times now and always say they are worth the money to have a live band.

Missed you last night Nettie!! It was awesome!! and tasting the pies was the BEST great idea!
ReplyDeleteThat's a shame! It looks like you organised an amazing night. Those pies are fab - the lemon meringue one is making my mouth water!!
ReplyDeleteTake care with your flu. When I had my really bad cold, a combination of echinacea and Zyrtec cleared it up in two days! I would recommend it to anyone who is suffering like this. Keep warm, sleep lots, drink heaps of water and have some virtual hugs. Love ya, Wendy xx
Oh, I love bush dances. Mum used to take us down the Huon to go to them. Sorry about your flu..not swinish is it? Certainly sounds like the symptoms. My mum had a similar thing last week, so something is going around Tassie. Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteWow all those pies look really good! Must say I would find it really hard choosing a winner if I was judging they all loook good. Looks like heaps of fun was had by all.
ReplyDeleteAngela
