come on through....
This is the lounge room looking from the kitchen door...
then towards the dining area which is in the lounge room..
not much space to swing the next door neighbors cat..but at least you can pull your chair out and sit down....
in the lounge room i have my little area ..that is my computer where i am sitting now...that's all the space i need really...
Now this is the very heart of any home...the kitchen all new and fresh....there is still a cupboard to go up there behind the candle on the wall...i will have a bit more space then...
with my painting up there...it really feels like home now...
(The Play Room ..ha ha)..... We get the morning sun in here to wake us up every morning....
The Picasso Room...because of the Picasso prints on the wall above the bed....really the guest bedroom... When are you coming to visit???
The Rainbow Room...where the girls stay when they come to visit...
The Bathroom...the bath and shower are behind the door to the left and the loo is over by that door you can see.. That is a two way door ..you can get to the bathroom and loo from the outside as well ..great for when you are having a BBQ or just working in the garden...
The welcoming front entrance and hallway... sun streaming through in the late afternoon. ...my plant loves it there...
the hallway goes on a dog leg from the kitchen to the passage that connects all the bedrooms and that is Kelvins little office you can just see in the back ground...
Eat your heart out all you retro queens...this is the lino in my laundry...yeah!!!!!
Outside my back door i have set up an area with some of my 87 pot plants where i can sit and enjoy the morning sun....(i took these pics in the afternoon..still nice and sunny there)
And last but not least for all you died in the wool Aussies ...i actually have an antique original Hills Rotary Clothes Line... and it dries the clothes so fast
Do you see that hand crocheted rug hanging there(my mothers sister who is long gone crocheted it for mum and i inherited it when she died 25 years ago) ...that is wool and it was dry in one hour...go Aussie Go...
So what do you think hey??????

Gorgeous! Looks lovely and cosy :) We have an old hills hoist too, love it! Except mine is full of teeny tiny pink and purple things :P
ReplyDeletei almost had to do a double take with the first picture cause it looks just like the loungeroom at 63 Alma!
ReplyDeleteIt looks the same because.... it is all the same furniture silly..well the curtains are almost the same colour too....i can see why you thought it was Alma St...
ReplyDeleteLove the house- so nice and sunny. Jealous of the hills hoist- I used to love mine. They are so much better than ANY other kind of clothes line. I used to have great fun hanging out the different coloured washes into each triangle- I always imagined that people would be able to see my different coloured triangles from the air! (Simple things). And I think the Rainbow room should be renamed the lipstick room...
ReplyDeleteCute - I'm glad you find somewhere so cosy while you're in transition.

I LOVE, love LOve that sticker above your bed with the trees - Looks AMAZING, just goes to show what you can do with some nice neutral colours and good taste. Rentals don't have to be mishmashed wishy washy bombs! (prob helps that you know the owners and one of them is an interior wiz tho)
ReplyDeleteYes, very cosy, and YES, the frost wiped out the beans, tomatoes, pumpkins and corn. Still lots of carrots, leeks and beetroot :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm with Chels. Looks like the same loungeroom. Pretty nice for a rental guys. How long are you thinking it will be b4 your place is built? Love ya heaps xx
ReplyDeleteYeah I agree with Chels. I thought you were doing comparison shots -lounge of 63 Alma, lounge of rental. I love all the paintings on the walls.
ReplyDeletelooking good nettie!!! the pictures make a HUGE difference
ReplyDeletewonderful.... yes, i see my place to sleep!!.. have to now get me settled here.. have to put the house up for sale... then decide where I will be .. here or VA???.... then I will be out.....
ReplyDeleteIt seems that as long as you have all the same furniture and decor when you change houses, the new house will look the same, and this one does!
ReplyDeleteWell, it's probably way smaller, but at least it has a similar look about it! I love it! Wendy xxx
love it love the wall art and the cushions and the way you decorate stuff
ReplyDeleteoh and your clock.soo cool.i hadnt seen it i dont think??
