Tamborine Mountain...Part Three ..Queensland

Tamborine Mountain is in the Gold Coast Hinterlands and famous for so many gorgeous places and fun things to do ...check out the website http://www.tamborinemountainvisitor.com/ if you would like to know more ...but my very favorite was this little shop with very this delectably moor-ish delight called fudge... there was every sort you could imagine....

I bought Turkish Delight of course, plain caramel, orange cream, macadamia nut.... cant remember what other flavors but we are still enjoying them......

The view of the Gold Coast in the background with all its high rise buildings and the beautiful sea behind it.....

At the very top and further into the mountains was this magical view with himself checking it out....
We were on our way to Cedar Creek Winery for lunch to celebrate my brother's birthday
check out http://www.cedarcreekestate.com.au/ to see more ...it is not just a winery .....

the fantastic fern glades....

the waterfall...and this is all man made ..even the rocks!!!!!
this path actually leads to a man made Glow Worm Grotto where the owners have worked very hard and have created a fantastic environment for the glowworms to flourish in...it is open to the public as part of a tour.... but we got to see it for free.... nice to be having lunch with Lisa who has become a very good friend of the owners and visits there regularly......

The owner of the winery built this little stone replica chapel so that couples could get married on the estate.... undercover if the weather was inclement.
My nephew actually got married here but in the glowworm grotto...they were the first to be married in there now heaps of couples get married there.

There was a wedding there the day we went.... they had their reception in the centre as well.

There is a couple here below having photos taken.....

Now you might wonder what was happening here.... we decided to have a family photo and himself wanted to use his self timer....but he couldn't figure out if was going or not ...so after a couple of goes we got a few good shots ...

"i will just check if it is working"..Himself checking...

" Just take a breather and i will see if it worked ".....

"Let try again....everyone ready...looking..."

"I think we might get at least one good pic from this"....... and this is my favorite one....
from left to right ...along the back...my brother Ian, me, my sister in law, the front...my nephew Andrew...himself the ace photographer... Kye my great nephew Andrews son, Lisa Steven's wife(Steven is Andrews twin and he was away overseas training for his very high profile job as a technician who fits and adjusts pacemakers for the heart) Lisa and Steven were married here on the estate...and Breanna, Kye sister.....

Dad and his two adorable kids....love this pic...

the bird life was so tame..... we fed him tit bits from our plate.....

And the food was amazing...i had deep sea chili spiced prawns in mango and lime sauce....

Himself has a Fisherman's Basket...... the squid rings where melt in your mouth tender(i was told that the chef marinates them in kiwi fruit juice for a couple of days before he cooks them)

And here he is the Birthday Boy and my little brother.... Happy Birthday Ian....

we were all checking out this beautiful setting ...we were sitting out on a deck for lunch....

I would definitely recommend the food here, the setting , the ambiance... the whole Tamborine Mountain experience was amazing....
