Christmas Dinner at our Place....

Red place mats...silver and red sprinkles of stars and Christmas wishes.... Bonbons with corny jokes......

eg... if a frog wore sandals what would they be called... open toad!!!

Dad requested BBQ prawns...done with fresh ginger, garlic and olive oil.... yummo!!!!!!...entree

then the totally conventional roast turkey and cranberry sauce, baked ham, roast potatoes, pumpkin, carrots,roast parsnip, fresh garden peas and beans...

the berry topped pavlova...OOOHHHH how i love those fresh berries..huge strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, silvenberries and red currants...all topped with a scrumptious berry sauce made from reduced pureed berries and cooled before pouring over the top, dusted with icing sugar...

but that's not all...

then there was the crock pot Christmas Pudding and home made custard and ice cream as well

Not forgetting the entertainment.... at 84 my dad got out his squeezebox (Well piano accordion really) and played us a few old tunes..

While...

Auntie Floss who is 93 sang along in perfect soprano...

We had a wonderful Christmas Day
