I MISS THIS LITTLE GIRL ALREADY...
But she is coming back in three weeks for a few days...
Yesterday i took Rosie half way home and her mum met us at Ross for a lovely lunch at the scrumptious bakery in the main street... She was so excited to see her mum but more excited to see Aggie the labradoddle who came for the drive....
so i found these pics from two days before when we decided to make playdough.... yes of course Rosie got to stir it and help make it....totally supervised at the cook top...
here is the finished project....{now look close as this playdough it is pretty special... it has sparkling diamonds in it....not really silly...i didn't have any regular salt so i used the rock salt...{if you use rock salt make sure you dissolve it in the water first} but don't tell a little girl that they aren't diamonds....
she played and played for a couple of hours and didn't want to pack it away...so on the dining table it stayed...she went back and forth checking it in between the Barbie movie we borrowed and have nearly worn out..... she has played with it everyday...
there was every sort of cake and dish you can imagine
But this is my favorite...my birthday cake... with one candle....love it...
so here is the recipe for our playdough.
PLAYDOUGH
in a pot mix
1/2 cup of regular salt
1 cup of plain flour
2 tablespoon of cream of Tartar
then add:
1 cup of water
1 large tablespoon of oil (i use canola)
food colouring..your choice..
stir it and cook on a medium heat until it comes together and is pliable...
store in an air tight container....
Now have fun with your little one...
We used to make play dough all the time. Such fun.
