FINALLY...ONLY THREE AND A HALF MONTHS LATER
They poured the slab for the garden shed on Tuesday morning.... have a look at the way they duct tape their waterproof trousers inside their boots so they won't get them filled with concrete...
yes they wheelbarrowed the concrete from the block across the road where the slab for the house was being poured after waiting a week for the weather to break so it could be done....
all done and ready to dry...please ....no rain.....
Morning tea was served on the alfresco for the workmen...scones jam and whipped cream Nettie style.... the workers loved it....
the slab had to be officially named and christened.....
Perhaps a Mural.......A rainbow from her....
Everyones feet drawn with their name and age.....note Nanna got the stars!
Nearly there...all four walls are up ...now just the roof to put on....
all the drilling and screws had to be done by hand with the trusty drill by "himself"
the roof sliding into place ......
An this little lady was Poppy's best helper ...she screwed all the washers and the nuts on ...
now all the STUFF that has been cluttering up the garage has been transferred to the garden shed...NO of course "himself" still has his bed in the house silly...but it is all nice an cosy in there and what do they say about every man having his own shed...mmmmmm!!!! ha ha
Greetings from the Amish community of Lebanon county. Have a great weekend folks. Richard from Amish Stories.
