Have you ever looked at the letterboxes as you drive along the highways and around your streets?????
check these out ...they were down south on the way to South Arm ....don't you love country people and their ingenuity ????
the first one is so obvious..but the yellow one is actually a gas camp oven case!!!
and i just loved the vivid red of this post box ...took me back a lot of years to when i was a "little takker" and post boxes where very ornate and the same bright red...you felt proud to lick your stamp and post it in such a letter box..
do you remember when ???
are there any special letterboxes where you live?
We don't have any but I so wished we had.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, a while ago they found an American Fugitive living in Portugal for 40 years, "hidden" in a village by the sea, and news crew made a close-up of his mailbox and everyone was like "You could tell comething was wrong all thse years just by his mail box" :D Really!
Because people here don't investi in these lovely details...
It was a funny aspect of a sad lack in my country.
Thank you for your comment early today or late yesterday.
Love,

In South Launceston, where I work a lot. I admire those beautiful M cHughes pottery fronts to the inbuilt letter boxes. The pottery was in the area of Hungry Jacks.
ReplyDeleteAh. Imagine just popping into the pottery.
