Sauce for Arliss....

When your daughter rings and says....
"Mum have you got any more of your home-made sauce left in the pantry"
and you look and say...
"No..sorry darling i gave you the last one the last time you were up remember" and she says..
."Oh no what am i going to give Arliss on his home-made sausage roll then...it is the only one he can have you know...cant you make some more???"
Well this is what Nanna does....

She goes to Veggie Shed knowing that the tomatoes are going to cost and arm and a leg plus half what she has in the bank...but hey it is her only grandson right...
i love him to bits and it is not as if he can eat any old sauce with his severe nut allergy....
when you get there you figure you are only going to just make 3 kgs into sauce...figuring they will cost about $10 a kilo because they are totally out of season....

but

 they had a special on...what a blessing ...only $3.99 a kilo....

i left them in a basket in the alfresco to ripen fully...and then i made Arliss his Nanna's Tomato  sauce...

Eight small bottles of Tomato sauce waiting to take to Hobart.....not quite as tasty as real home grown tomato Sauce i usually make ...but i am sure he wont mind anyway....
