Today Rosie and i took Auntie Floss ( I am sure you will remember this grand Lady who is 94 now..but here is a pic i took earlier so that you can jog your memory)to the Country Club Casino where she LOVES to go and sit in the Water Garden and watch the water fountains jet up into the air...she loves to have a Latte and just relax and enjoy the ambience of the outdoor area which is not really cold even on a blustery day as they have overhead patio heaters installed for patron comfort and we enjoy that comfort...
But before we went in there..!!!!
Can you guess what is happening here???
have a good look......
Yes i am guessing you guessed it..
we had to take a bag of bread crusts when i told Rosie there would be ducks and they porbaably would have babies..
and they did
she happily feed them from the car while Auntie Floss watched but then decided to get out with the bag in her hand...
yes you guessed it ...the whole flock of ducks took off after her...RUN she did....straight back to the car....dropping the bag of crumbs (that was all that was left)...i was laughing so hard i forgot to take the secquence of shots up to this one...
so it was back safely in the car to throw that last few crumbs...
safely from the car....
we had a great day with Auntie Floss at the Country Club Casino on the patio all by ourselves...no gambling for us ducks either...
The work of Pavlov explained by a (how old is Rosie?) little girl ahahahahah
ReplyDeleteDucks aren't silly and they know that Crumbs+Little Girl around = fun afternoon at the pond ahahah
I like the way you explained Auntie Floss little pleasures and then jumped for the energetic Rosie. How lucky you are to have all those layers of blessings around.
Take Care and have a wonderful Busy Time.
Love,
T
Great story. I can't believe how much Rosie has grown in just half a year! Enjoy your time with the family even though I know you will be working hard. Thank you for all your passion and words of encouragement and tokens of love. You are a blessing to us all xxx
ReplyDeleteOh, the ducks are so sweet. You got a shot of them surrounding the car - how wonderful that is! What a lovely picture to see a child so curious about nature.

How fun to feed the ducks! They look really tame too, coming straight up to your car.

So glad I found your blog. Ex Tassie girl here and have fond memories of some of the places you've mentioned in your posts.
ReplyDeleteMy Aunt and Uncle had a shack on Bruny Island and Grandparents live just down the road from the Shot Tower at Taroona.
We've stayed at the Country Club and loved every minute of it.
Looking forward to more of your updates.
