Random Gratefulness

it has been a really hard year for "himself" especially and me this year...but i am not complaining especially when i can look at all these things and see the beauty ...i am grateful for beautiful reminders in my life...

like my little pink iceberg rose that burst forth with blushes of pink that i can bring indoors an enjoy
see the beautiful blush of this bud...blush iceberg rose..
Sweet Williams with riotous heads of colour scattered from seeds collected last year in a random garden somewhere ...now they are all through the garden
these monsters are so handsome in their ugliness...globe artichokes...i don't want to eat them as they are just too good to look at
and sadly there has not been a partridge in my little pear tree ..but there are lots of baby pears coming for the new season...yeah we had five full grown pears to enjoy last year from a tree only twenty four inches high...i kid you not..it is a miniature Pear tree.
glorious peas... almost ripe for the picking... i have picked a few and claimed them as snow peas!!!they just taste the same...
i have been picking lettuce for months now...we just cant eat enough of it to deplete our supply...but the neighbors are helping us..
look at those eyes..she has been a bit sad this last year...the vet tells us she is a grand lady now at 12... arthritis is starting to set in ..she has a slight limp in her front legs..is very sad and anxious when we board her at the kennels (where they love her to bits)...she thinks she is a human and misses "Himself" when he is not out in the garden with her(mind you she can manage to slide open the sliding door with her nose and come right on in)...you are a gorgeous girl Beattie...
and she told me to hang this at the front door.....seems that all the visitors like my sense of humour too...
Santa is packing his sleigh....how is your Christmas shopping going????
