Nettie Nostalgia

There is no better place to start a holiday in the North Island of New Zealand but the Temple....

We flew into Auckland on Thursday 30 th May 2013 and slept in a nice little motel near the airport (called just that Airport Motel)

Next morning we were bound for this beautiful place...

we were actually running a bit late because we spent too long looking around the amazing manicured grounds...lots of new planting going on...but they held the session for us because they knew we were from Tasmania...(island buddies????)...

Oh how i LOVE the Temple

so much PEACE from the worlds  fast pace..

everything seems to just melt away and your whole being relaxes.....wish we could take that feeling and bottle it for when things get too hectic in our lives...

OK here is a closer look.....  The Temple is reflected in the huge window of the Visitors Centre ....a place where you can learn so much more about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and The beautiful building reflected behind "Himself" and me...

 and here we are standing beneath this amazing statue of the Christus....is was so breathtakingly beautiful...the eyes just seemed to reach you wherever you went  in the room...

Very reluctant to leave this beautiful place......a wonderful start to our holiday i know it is ....
