Australia Day Celebrations at Poatina

Last year we went to the Australia Day Celebrations at Poatina and had a wow of a time..so we decided we would do it again this year...

Why Not when there was so much to do and see and enjoy and all for FREE.... 

Yes everything was free...the sausage Sizzle..the Damper and jam...tea. coffee and milo.... all free and every activity you see below..feast your eyes on the FUN we all had..

 Bethan and Hattie learning to  milk "Snow" the Saanen goat...

 Rosie took her turn and managed to do really well...

 'Snow' really was a great milking goat ..check out that full udder...!!!!

 Yes we did try it{well actually I had a milking goat called 'Ariel' when these grandies mothers were young ..so i hadnt forgotten how to milk } ..Bethan liked it ..Rosie was not too sure...

 This busy little boy was all into the footy ...he has the stance and check out his hold on the Ball...Go the Hawks ...!!!!! 

 and it actually went through that hole more than once ...Well done Arliss...

 and look who was there ...we loved listening to your bagpipes Greg ...we love you XXXX

 the water balloon game ..yes ...Hattie and Bethan's team won...

 the best dressed clown was there again this year...

 Bethan earned herself the title of "The Goddess of the Hoop" she did it with such ease and just kept on going ...won the hoop competition easily more than once...way to go B...

 she didn't even move really ..so easy...check out the stance ..just looks like she is standing there!!!!!

 Face Painting again this year...Hattie wanted to be an Ork..scary ...

 this face painter had a challenge i think...

 Rosie just wanted to have make-up...now that might be a worry mum????....{don't say she takes after her Nanna either..because i sure don't wear that colour eye-shadow}

 and the eyelashes...
but check out the bunny in her arms...this rabbit belongs to no one in the village and wanders wild ...but they caught it and put it in the petting place ..Rosie could do anything with it...it just loved her....

 A farmer brought in this whole litter of heeler pups and it was hard to walk away..they were actually for sale!!!! 
Yes Mum....there was the pleading ..can we take one home pleas Nanna????...!!!!

 the balloon man was there again too...Arliss loved his little dog ..{until it broke}

 a sausage dog maybe?????

 and we found a give away car..and he ran it around this little track for ages ....

and after all that Nanna and Arliss sat down for a rest on this amazing rustic seat made from tree twigs and branches.....

NUP.... no one is looking Nanna ..we can sit her as long as i can sit still that is !!!!!!

We all  had a fantastic day again this year 
anyone want to join us again next year..
