One little fascinated girl watching Alice in Wonderland played by a five person theatre group who were amazing...a must see...they are going to be at Festivale on the Sunday (dang)but it will be worth it.

The beginning of the production started under and enormous tree in the shade with everyone seated on the ground. ...a bit hard on this Nanna's old bottom...but hey who cares it was only for just over an hour and we got up and moved three times.

Alice is chatting here with the Cheshire Cat.... the music and choreography was fabulous... all done with flute a tin bucket upside down on a stick,a couple of drum sticks, tin whistles and a zylaphone...amazing

The rabbit has to be my favorite ..and they were his own teeth!!!!

Alice trying to beat the Queens of Hearts at Croquet....audience participation as well.

The jester and Alice at ground level..which is where i sat with Chelsea's magnificent camera the Cannon EOS..WWWWHHOOO.
Go to The Parsons Happening Blog to see more photo's taken by this intrepid photogrpher...Yeah!!!

The Mad Hatter conducting the Trail.... in Alice's defence

The Executioner...she was scary.

The hand painted detail on the dress of the Queen of Hearts

The Nave and the Queen stating their case afeter the croquet game...fabulous costumes all changed in a flash in a little tent as part of the props...see it behind the queen there??

The Queens cooks ...a funny sceen after the second move...yes you have to get up and walk with the rabbit just like Alice did in the original production.

The Mad Hatter was so good and really got into his part...a fabulous production ...loved it to bits.
Only cost $15 bucks too and that was the best bit.
Wow that looks amazing...i should go check it out!
ReplyDeleteAwesome. They should come to the falls festival here for the family segment! They'd be a big hit!
ReplyDeleteVery cool, great colours! How good would an Alice in Wonderland quilt look??!! Hearts, stripes, red, yellow, teacups, white rabbits, mad hats. Who's feeling creative?
