A Promise of Spring

We picked a huge bunch of these and buried our noses in them....they smelled divine...
We visited a farm out in Dunorlan at the back of Deloraine in the country today...(another renovation plan for kelvin to do) ...these were growing everywhere and they made the prettiest sight...(she does too)

the bees were working so hard......

she was picking the stalks long for Nanna.....

and it really felt like spring....

we were being watched by these two inquisitive creatures.... hand reared so they were so friendly...

those eyes ...cow eyes....

that dewy moist nose that sniffed the apple we gave her

that gentle eye that was so concerned when Hattie cried loudly when she got zapped by the electric fence...she is totally Ok ...just brushed it...

the horns are really for decoration...she would never use them i am sure...

But before we got to the farm we had to have lunch...a big girl lunch for her too ...a hot chocolate is a must when we go out on the town (even if it is Del city!!!)

Yummy toasted Cheese and ham sandwiches...she ate them all...

even the peas shoots for decoration.... our day with Hattie was great....

  1. Ohh how cute are those cows & baa baa's & Hattie. Great photos. While I was in the Atherton Tablelands I visited a dairy & they had little kids (goats) & calves who licked me..... I'm glad someone was glad to see me. xx Carol O

  3. beautiful pics...daffodils are one of my favorite spring blooms. It's funny to think that spring is coming to you as we are working on harvesting our garden.

  5. Your adventures with Hattie make me want to come and spend ten days with you too. I'd love to do it all (and see the floods too!).
