The New Gateway Bridge

This is the new Gateway Bridge in Brisbane that opened this month .... on the Sunday 16th May they actually opened it for people to walk over, to have a picnic on, to dress up and make a real event to remember the opening by...no...we didn't go to that even though we were in Queensland...
BUT we did get to actually drive over it a couple of times while we were coming and going back and forth up the coast and to Brisbane.

It looks so steep i know but when you are actually going over it doesn't seem that way.... the traffic you ask????

Well that is like that all the time...four lanes all travelling at 100-110 kilometers and hour in either direction...(they hadn't opened the other bridge yet ...that was the one that the people walked over on the 16th)
I was so proud of myself as i actually drove in that traffic from the Glasshouse mountains to the Gold Coast and from Brisbane to the Gold Coast ...no mean feat i can attest....

Do i wasn't to retire there?????

No i think not!!!

i think we will keep it as a holiday destination where we have free accommodation when we visit with my brother...

What is better than that?????
