They are HOME...Yeah!!!!!

Yes they are home after 10 days holiday away in Vietnam together for the first time without the four girls...the excitement was just too much .. grand dad collected them from the airport and there he is holding Daddy's crutches... yep... Daddy had surgery on a ruptured Achilles tendon two weeks before they went and hopped around Vietnam on crutches.... but they sure had a good time even if the humidity was way up there in the high 90s and the temps were over thirty degrees every day.....

And just in Case you were wondering where i was for all that two weeks.... i was holidaying with the four girls...and not without event either...we had croup (a trip to the doctor) and colds and night coughing, bites from Nibbles the rabbit and a few tears ...but hey.. we had heaps of laughs and fun too....like puppy trianing, sleep overs at friends, birthday parties, girl guides and movie watching... plus walks to the park to play and Nanna did have help from Grandma and Poppy who came down for the first weekend...... but we are glad that mum and dad are home safe and they had a good time....

the girls decided they had to do a welcome home sign and seeing as Rosie kept destroying the paper sign they were designing before it even got written.. we thought this was the way to go.....

can you see Darby's the bouquet of garden greenery for mum???...

MMMMMmmmm.. do you think Nanna might have had too much of a tough routine going while the parents where away?????

Unpacking "the goodies"... the excitement was building.....

this was Nanna's special propaganda poster printed on Rice paper.... the message reads.."save the youth"...i am having it framed for my new house....

my beautiful pieces of antique embroidery from the Mung People of Vietnam...only two pieces where machine embroidered...the others were hand embroidered and were definitely older than me..... so ancient...so uniquely colourful ...i am framing these too...

Now this is something a lady cannot do without...a fold up gardening sun hat...don't you love it?????? i know i will need it when i am gardening when we move to the new house

the girls got hair clips that were not easy to lose...yeah...
so many things came out of that suitcase mummy......

see how good they look!!!!!...well if the hair is done right anyways....

amazing hand embroidered patches holding together strings of glass beads...gorgeous!!!

had embroidered hair bands each.....

the cutest little tote bags...

Darby's Piece DE Resistance.... an antique carved bone compass in a metal case with a beaten imprint design on it....

all sort of cute miniature musical instruments....

pure silk very colourful sleeping bag sheets.... Rosie loved the red...
And it didn't stop there....
there were toys, and treats of all sorts...now the lollies were a very acquired taste.... but fun to sample..
we are glad you are home daddy and Mummy...we did miss you....

  7. So great that you were there with the camera-I'm sure it will take Chels a couple of days before she gets a chance to post her photos! I hope you also have some photos of things you did with the girls while you were down there. You are so brave. My mum told me flat out that she would never look after all 4 of mine on her own.

  8. Absolutely gorgeous stuff, to attract a bower bird like me.
We will have to send Daddy back with orders.
He could make a side business from it.
    Love Lorraine.
