i think i told you that it was a great place to walk and even for a wheelchair...
the sun was up
the sky was blue...
so off we went with the wheelchair and dad too....(i know i suck at rhymes)

can you believe that this old plough was left against the tree and forgotten ...the tree grew around it and there it is today... still there.
oh the shade of this tree was amazing...so cool under its canopy.... and you walk right in under its huge boughs on the walking track to the top of the hill.

these vines grow all through the rice grass.... the white flowers are beautiful...but i am sure they are and introduced species therefore they should not be there in the Wetlands...

when the tides is out (like it was today) it leaves these little islands of mud covered in vegetation that survives under water... the run off water forms little rivers that run through them till they end up in the main stream.
they got ahead of me because i was taking pictures ....

and this is where we were...
Tamar Island and the Wetland and Nature Reserve ....
oh how lucky we were to see the endangered frogs...see it there.???
the cygnets are almost grown now but they still have their down but i am sure they will start to get their feathers soon...they were born in November so the Wetlands is viable in sustaining all the bird life that is here.

the grasses are so pretty...you have to go if you haven't been .....
the entrance fees are very cheap too... as seniors we paid $2 each... a yearly pass is $15...
so .....
When are you going????
I'm going SOON!!! I keep saying we need to go there as we've never been but Aaron isn't keen - too close to nature for him! ;) I've been wanting to go for months though with my camera in tow :)
