in my little garden......

when we first moved in (almost a year ago now...in April) we decided we would have a veggie garden  through the summer so we set to it straight away...preparing the ground and getting the fertilizer worked into the soil ready for planting.
the effort has paid off and we have been eating our own homegrown bounty...
like these awesome truss tomatoes...
and the strawberries around the base have given us tasty little treats every morning for the last couple of months now...

this is the second crop of lettuce in the same tub and we have one we are picking in the garden beds too.

my prolific herb garden...i enjoy the fragrance of all the different herds (not to mention the flavors in my cooking)when the sun heats their foliage ...you should see the bumble bees partying in them too.

our piece de Resistance ...our miniature pear tree...it has THREE pears on it...they are not ripe yet but we can't wait to taste them straight from the tree..

we love our little garden and we are grateful for the bounty it produces.

  4. I'm growing herbs too Nettie. Don't have a garden but a couple of planter pots outside. There's nothing like adding fresh herbs to your cooking. xx

  5. Looks great Nettie. I'm finding our barrels dry out quickly. How do you cope?
