The butterfly cake for a beautiful little one year old...Ruby had her party at the Punchbowl with all her friends to help her celebrate and even a little shower of rain didn't dampen the party's celebrations....
there was even a party tent erected to shelter under from the showers as there were two other parties in the Punchbowl at the same time....
there were so many presents to open and a lot of little helpers to supervise...
when i came time for the candles to be lit...yes there were a couple to blow out as one was not enough for the helpers to blow out as well..... everyone got involved...

a great celebration of one year of a little girl birthday.
i have had my brother and his wife here with me from the mainland ..sadly not for a holiday..my sister-in-laws father lost his fight with cancer and was fare welled on Saturday in Devonport...

the eulogy was truly a celebration of a very much loved father of 6 daughters....
my little brother.....it was so nice to see him again so soon....
my sister-in-law ...she will miss her dad very much and having to go back to the mainland and leave her mum alone was an even harder ask for her i know...thank goodness for technology and the telephone...she will be able to continue to stay close...

ReplyDeleteAfter you shared the Kings' web address I've been dealing with all that talk, frank talk, and so many, poignant and (for me) intimate pictures of scenes we usually here live in private.
It would never occur to me to take a picture of someone in morning, or at a funeral; so it's been an interesting learning proccess of how others deal with the loss and the ceremonies...
Hope your sis-in-law finds comfort in the certainly precious memories, in your brother generous support and in those wonderful technologies that make people closer.

Thanks Annie for all your help when we came to Tassie for Dad's funeral. The photos are beautiful and a lovely memento of the celebration of dad's life with the number of people that came to his funeral. I have done a copy for each of my sisters and one for Mum. Thanks once again. Jan.
