Real Old fashioned Australia Day Games...

While most Australians head to the beach on Australia Day ...we headed for the mountains....Yes up the Western Tiers to Poatina..(check the previous post too)
and we really enjoyed the games...Games that Nanna and Poppy used to enjoy...(Nanna couldn't because of her sore ankle)
this is the sack race...they are lined up ready to go...and go they did...

that is Bethan in the front ...and she WON...Yeah!!!!!

Poppy with the stash of balloon animals...he was in charge of those while the girls participated in the water balloon tossing game...yes they did get just a tiny bit wet...not too much so as they were uncomfortable though...

check out Bethan with the hoola hoop...just goes to prove you don't have to have big hips to keep it up there ...just speed....

then there was the stilts to master...not really all that fantastic at those but she managed a few steps before having to jump off.

what ever this ball thing was it had Hattie's attention ..she had to master it.

then progress to this one..even bigger....
while all this was happening ...check out the views as well...gorgeous hey????

the tug-o-war was a real hit with everyone... I didn't get to count how many aside there was...Poppy got involved as well...concentration is the key...check it out!!!

just love this pic of Hattie face....
she was so concentrating on what her helper was saying...

and for now I will stop here as this was the Hokey Pokie dance ....for all the kids.....

laughter is a must in this game...

still one more post to go and seeing today here is the holiday for Australia Day i will post about the beach for you as well...cant have Australia Day Holiday without the beach i am told ...so we are off to the beach....check in again tomorrow.... don't miss it ....
