Beautiful Beach Babes

New Years Eve was so hot in Bicheno (our favorite place in the whole world)...so when we had all unloaded the car we headed for Red Bill Beach just a stones throw from Auntie Pat's.... (Of course i wasn't going to swim so i didn't wear my bathers..yep i got soaked to my bottom...but it soon dried)...
These little mermaids loved the breakers rolling in for them to jump..
But better still was the sand they could dig holes and watch them fill with the sea water from under the sand... a good couple of hours digging.....

All this while the surfers were catching that illusive wave and riding it to the shore....time after time.....

But they were not interested in surfing (well not just yet anyway)

Just digging ...

Poor dad (who was feeling sick with a viral flue) made the mecca to the car for digging implements to aid the cause....

LOOK Rosie the hole is nearly as big as you!!!!

if we keep digging we can make you a swimming pool...

It is a swimming pool !!!!...well ...a paddling pool anyway!!!

We are going off to make one that will fill up when the waves come in... you play there Rosie..

do you think Poppy can see me????

Here i am Poppy ... can you see me ...i have got lots of wet sand on me...

Come and look at the water in here... but i think i will have to wash the sand off now

Look out Nanna the waves are going to get us...run...

so run we did..... and play and get more sand all over us again and be dried by the hot 25oc wind ...and all at 7 pm at night..Pizza in order for dinner i reckon ..don't you Poppy...

He is nodding his head...(so are daddy, mummy and all the mermaids on the beach...good idea.)
